Article: Hospital Grade vs Standard Grade Sanitisers in the home, education and the workplace

Hand Sanitiser

Hospital Grade vs Standard Grade Sanitisers in the home, education and the workplace

We'll start by saying that not all hand sanitisers are equal. For lots of reasons each brand of hand sanitising gel offers different levels of protection and performance which depends greatly upon its active substance or contents.

Right now, hand hygiene and germ management has never been more important and it becomes increasingly important to choose the right products to protect ourselves, loved ones and colleagues.

It is also vitally important for employers to consider the wellbeing and protection of employees, visitors and teachers and pupils in education.

Where should sanitiser be placed?

Our recommendation is for hand sanitisers to be placed around the workplace so staff, employees, pupils and visitors can continuously kill germs that might be on their hands. Particular hotspots include:

  • Reception Areas
  • Door Handles
  • Printers and Scanners
  • Kitchen Areas
  • Washroom and Changing Areas
  • Seating Areas
  • Water Coolers

Hand sanitisers should be made readily available in these areas to avoid the spread of germs.

Which leads us nicely on to which type of Hand Sanitiser is best for you?

Hospital Grade Hand Sanitising Gel

Of course in recent months, we've noticed lots of companies selling hand sanitising gel, including us. The new Hospital Grade formulation from Zidac Laboratories offers a few benefits over and above standard hand sanitising gels that we really like ;

  • A range of sizes 100ml, 500ml and 5 litre containers
  • Contains 78.2% Ethanol (alcohol) content w/w
  • Kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses including Coronavirus
  • Made with Aloe Vera and Glycerine to keep skin supple and smooth
  • Leaves no residue

Antibacterial Hand Sanitising Gel

For most, a regular high-quality hand sanitising gel will be sufficient. A high-grade hand sanitising gel should contain an alcohol content of 70%, and again we have noticed through regular use the Antibacterial Hand Gel from Zidac laboratories offers excellent performance. It dries quickly in use and leaves no sticky residue, partly due to the approved level of alcohol content ;

  • A range of sizes 50ml, 100ml, 200ml, 500ml and 5 litre containers
  • Contains 70.00% Ethanol (alcohol) content w/w
  • Kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses
  • Made with Aloe Vera and Glycerine to keep skin supple and smooth
  • Leaves no residue

In our opinion both of these hand sanitiser from Zidac Laboratories offer improved performance, drying quickly, leaving no residue and smelling great. Of course if you are in a sensitive environment the Hospital Grade Gel should be used but for normal everyday use the standard gel is a high-quality choice.
